who should register
Welcome to Valpak's online registration form. You only need register
to join a batteries compliance scheme if you are a large producer with a
UK presence placing on the market for the first time over a tonne
of portable batteries in the UK each year.
If you are a small producer with a UK presence (or
if you place less than one tonne of batteries onto the market in the UK each year)
and are interested in joining our small producer compliance membership please call
08450 682 572 to speak to a technical advisor
and to request an application form.
what you will need to complete your application
In order to complete your application you
will need to have the following information to hand:
- registered office details
- 2007 SIC (standard industrial
classification) code - download a list of current
SIC codes here
»
- contact details
- brand names of all of the
batteries that you place onto the UK market
- 2009 data detailing the amount
of portable batteries you placed onto the market between 1st January 2009 and
31st December 2009
Please note that the
online application form does not save your data. Therefore, if
you log out of the website part way through your application, the information that
you have entered will be lost.
Once you have completed the online application you will need
to print a copy, sign it and return it to Valpak via any of the methods shown below:

group memberships
If you are applying for group membership please be advised that
you will need to complete, print and sign an application form for the holding company
and each individual subsidiary that you wish to register.
